There are little eyes upon you
and they are watching night and day.
There are little ears that quickly
take in every word you say.
There are little hands all eager
to do anything you do;
And a little boy who’s dreaming
of the day he’ll be like you.
You’re the little fellow’s idol,
you’re the wisest of the wise.
In his little mind about you
no suspicions ever rise.
He believes in you devoutly,
holds to all you say and do;
He will say and do, in your way
when he’s grown up just like you.
There’s a wide-eyed little fellow
who believes you’re always right;
and his eyes are always opened,
and he watches day and night.
You are setting an example
every day in all you do;
For the little boy who’s watching
to grow up to be like you.

And this. . . this is my cute husband and first-time father. Soon, he will have a little guy to follow him around the house and want to do everything that dad does too. It will be fun to watch. There is no doubt in my mind that Jason will be a great dad.

OK, so I understand that my eighth month pregnant stomach is a hand magnet. I mean, it's just so far out there and people think it's "so cute." But, why do strangers think it's okay to touch me? This is a stupid pet peeve I have, but it's this really weird phenomenon that I have noticed over the past few weeks. I have had more and more strangers touch my stomach and it's kinda caught me off guard more than once. It's one thing to have family and friends touch it, but when the cashier at Wendy's reaches over the counter to touch my stomach, I just feel somewhat violated. Don't get me wrong, I love it that people are excited for me. . . but it's just something I have noticed lately.

This last week my sister Rebecca graduated from high school. She graduated with high honors and we are so happy she has been able to accomplish so much in her high school career. Now, she will move on to bigger and better parts of her life. In August she will leave to attend Southern Utah University (Go Thunderbirds!) and hopefully she will have an amazing "college" experience. Having graduated from SUU myself, I am so excited that she chose to go there for school. When I left high school I thought that I had just completed the best times of my life. Little did I know that college would be even better. Life is what you make of it. If you don't expect a lot, you won't receive a lot. If you wait around for others to make your life happy and complete, you will wait forever. Don't look too often to the past, it will only hold you back. Make your life what you want it to be.

This is our baby boy at 29 weeks! We had a 4D ultrasound done on Saturday and it was so amazing to see his face and little body! He looks so much like Jason and I am so relieved to see that he looks healthy and active. In fact, he never stopped moving the whole hour we were there. (Perhaps that has something to do with orange juice I drank that morning. . . ) My mom, Dad, Becca and James went with us to see "Little David" (as my family affectionately calls him). It was so fun to see him open and close his hands, flex his feet, blink and smile. It's an amazing feeling to know that he is ours.
