"I Can't Believe How Big Your Tummy Is!"
Yesterday I stopped by our pharmacy to pick up my prenatal vitamins. We have a new pharmacist and here is the conversation that took place:
Pharmacist: When is your baby due?
Me: January
Pharmacist: January?! You look like you are due any day!
Me: Yeah, it's my second baby in 18 months.
Pharmacist: Yeah, well, I can't imaging how huge you are going to be by January.
Me: Ummmm . . . thanks for the refill.
I know that I am starting my seventh month looking like a blimp, but really?! Did she need to point out the obvious? HA!
The thing is . . . Gavin was so small that I really find comfort in the size of this little (or not so little) guy. Good thing I'm not vain about pregnancy size! That comment would have made me cry before . . . but now it's just a sign that we are growing! We want a healthy baby!
(Okay - I have to take back part of the vanity comment . . . I hate the way my face looks when I am pregnant! I look like the Stay Puffed Marshmallow Man. Oh, well, it is SO worth it!)

First of all...you look AMAZING!!! I know how you feel about the 2nd one. Kate was only 4 lbs and so I didn't feel like I was that big. With Mia, now that was a different story. Someone even asked me if I was having twins...I'm glad your pregnancy is going well!
Have a great day!
ya, you look WAY amazing...7 months, seriously?? Don't worry, I got the EXACT same comments last time when i was only FOUR MONTHS!!! A guys told me I must be due any day....no, I am not even half way....what do men know anyway. How are you feeling? That's awesome, I'll be sure to post some extra huge pics of me when i am 7 months so you can see you just look adorable!!
Even if it doesn't bother you, that was rude. I am bigger when I am pregnant, so I got that a lot too. I also hate my face when I am pregnant. It seriously blows up around the 6th and 7th month.
Seriously - those pictures (especially the top one) look like one happy pregnant momma! There's NOTHING more beautiful than that. But beyond that, the truth is that you DO look amazing...you are glowing (and not just because you're pregnant) and look really, really cute! I can think of a few comments I would like to us in response to Mr. Pharmacist...
Man you look good for being 7 months! I am so excited for your family!
Linz, you so don't look like you're due any day. You look great. I can't wait to have a tummy too.
Oh brother, some people should just come with a sign around their necks that says "watch out, I'm not the smartest." :) And by the way, you look great. :)
lindsay, you look great! i've been checking your blog and am so glad that everything is going so well so far. we'll be praying for you guys!:)
your tummy is so cute linz:) i can't wait to see you! i miss you guys way bad. tell monkey hi for me:)
Seriously- who are these people? You should have said, "Hey idiot! I may be ginormously pregnant, but it will be over after nine months. Ugliness is never over." I would have seriously given you money to say that :) I think you look fabulous Linz. You and I both know that pregnancy is a beautiful thing. I may never get to have a bowling ball grow out of my stomach, but I have come to appreciate the beauty and miracle of birth. Love you guys.
You are beautiful!
You look so beautiful :) When I was prego w/ Ella I was HUGE! I looked like I was going to pop at 6months. My students even asked if they should bring in a tarp to put under me (if my water broke)!!! Let's get together soon. When is the baby shower?!
Lindsay that is so funny...I had this lady in my ward do the same thing to me...but it was almost weekly. I would come home and complain to Tor and ask if I really looked that big. She would say stuff like "no wonder you are so big look at your husband" or " Are you due this month, you sure are big" but I was only like 7 months.
You honestly look great!
if only the whole world were reading this right now... I would just love to remind everyone that under NO... and I MEAN NO CIRCUMSTANCE should you open your mouth in front of a pregnant woman unless you are about to say the very nicest thing that you have ever said to her!!! SERIOUSLY!!!
Oh, please. You look adorable!
