Pregnancy Brain

While watching Dr. Oz on Oprah yesterday - he informed us that a woman's brain shrinks by 8% during pregnancy.
It all makes sense now . . .

That is hilarious! Does that 8% come back when the baby is delivered? If not, that would mean that Michelle Duggar - the mother of soon-to-be 18 children has lost 144% of her brain...

To answer the questions above . . . Dr. Oz did say that the brain does regain it's size again. It actually doesn't happen until the baby is born - and it re-grows (I guess that is what you would call it) with consuming Omega Fatty Acids and getting lots of sleep. That must be some kind of joke, huh? Sleep after a baby is born? HA!

I know I forgot a ton when I am pregnant. I have never found my Debit card when I was pregnant with Emma. I didn't know it decreases in size though. That is a little freaky you need sleep to gain the size back though, lol. I am totally feeling the effects of the pregnancy already.

Thank You for your comments on my blog. It really means a lot to me. I had no idea you would have to fight for what was right on top of everything going on. Heavenly Father sent them to our families for a reason and I think it is the same principle of revelation in callings and that revelation ends when you are released. I think the actual parents of the children are the ones given the revelation of what is needed. I look up to you as a mother. You are wonderful parents. Thank You for the support :)

I love Dr. OZ, I saw that show also... It made me feel a lot better, because when I am prego I feel somewhat stupid and clumsy too!

How are you feeling besides the 8%? We are glad to hear things are going good.
